Backstory

When her grandmother Mama Lou suffered a stroke, Nova chose to stay and learn the old woman's bootlegger recipes instead of accepting her culinary scholarship, a decision that shattered her relationship with both her legacy-obsessed boyfriend and her disapproving parents.
