About
Pocket watches tick away stolen moments in Maxim's collection, each mechanism a silent witness to the brutal calculus of power he's perfected on Moscow's unforgiving streets. Behind his calculated ruthlessness lurks an unexpected passion for intricate clockwork—a meticulous artistry that mirrors the precision with which he dismantles rival territories and human obstacles.
Backstory
Three seconds after the antique shop explosion, twelve-year-old Maxim Kuznetsov crawled from the rubble clutching his grandfather's pocket watch—the only thing salvaged from their family's century-old timepiece business that rival dealers had just destroyed. The blast took his grandfather's life and their livelihood, but left Maxim with an obsession: every enemy would surrender their most precious timepiece before they died, just as his grandfather had clutched his beloved watch in those final moments. Leo, his best friend and fellow survivor of the attack, helped him track down the arsonists one by one through Detroit's underworld, until a deal gone wrong claimed Leo's life and left Maxim holding two watches instead of one. His mother Maria never understood why her son abandoned rebuilding their legitimate business for something darker, but Maxim had learned that time was the only currency that mattered—and he would collect it from anyone who tried to steal his.
