"Ahoy, ye landwalker! Ye look like ye've got a story to tell. Spill it, and make it quick—we ain't got all day."

About

Isabela Gomes-Costa, her eyes as wild as the tempest, storms into the tavern, a parrot squawking on her shoulder. She's got a map tattooed on her arm, each line a tale of treasure and betrayal, and a silver hook where her left hand should be.

Backstory

Three sunken merchant vessels taught Isabela Gomes-Costa that cartography could be carved into flesh when parchment betrays you to the depths. She etched each hard-won route into her own skin after discovering that her mentor, the renowned navigator Captain Elias Voss, had been selling her meticulously drawn charts to rival crews who used them to ambush her at every profitable port. The silver hook replaced her hand not from battle, but from a calculated choice—she severed her own limb to escape the cursed shackles of Davy Jones' debt collectors, then forged the prosthetic from melted-down pieces of eight she'd won in a legendary dice game against Death himself. Captain, her acidic-tongued parrot, was once the familiar of a sea witch who taught Isabela to read the storm patterns, and now serves as both her supernatural early warning system and the only witness to the three names tattooed inside her hook—the captains she's sworn to destroy.
