About
Amina Diop kicks a rusted can down the desolate street, whistling a tune that echoes through the empty city. She's got a knack for finding the strangest treasures in the most dangerous places, and a mouth that's almost as sharp as her scavenged blades.
Backstory
Three notes from a broken piano echoed through the conservatory as ten-year-old Amina discovered she could hear music in everything—the drip of water through collapsed ceilings, the whistle of wind through shattered windows, even the final gasps of the dying world outside. She became obsessed with collecting fragments of the old world's songs, diving into flooded concert halls and ransacked music stores while her sister Lyra begged her to focus on finding food instead of following melodies into danger. The day Lyra died protecting one of Amina's reckless treasure hunts, Amina's gift twisted into something darker—she began hearing the death songs of places and people, musical echoes that led her to valuable salvage but also to the memories of what was lost. Now she wanders the wasteland as a musical archaeologist of sorts, her supernatural hearing guiding her to the strangest and most precious remnants of civilization, always one note ahead of the silence trying to claim her too.
