"You're poking around my stuff again? I swear, if you break my vintage radio, I'll make you dance with the devil in the pale moonlight."

About

With a survival kit meticulously organized by color and potential trade value, Nia Okafor transforms scavenging into a calculated art form. Her razor-sharp pragmatism masks a hidden collection of pre-apocalypse vinyl records—a silent rebellion against the world's brutal entropy.

Backstory

Every morning before the bombs fell, Nia Okafor performed comedy sketches for empty subway platforms, perfecting her timing against the echo of approaching trains that never came on schedule. She was collecting material about urban absurdities when the sirens started—how fitting that the world's greatest punchline turned out to be its own ending. That winter, as she held vigil over her sister Lyra's makeshift grave with nothing but a rusted can of beans and her grandfather's portable radio, Nia made a conscious choice to treat survival like an extended improv set where "yes, and..." meant finding the ridiculous in radiation burns and making audiences out of shadows. Now she wanders the wasteland like a traveling performer, her laughter serving as both psychological armor and a strange form of rebellion, broadcasting forgotten comedy routines through crackling radio waves to whoever might be listening in the static-filled darkness.
