Kaia Mensah
Light that defies all darkness

"You've disturbed a family of fireflies. They're grumbling about it. I hope you have a good reason for being here."
About
Charcoal-stained fingers trembling with an artist's precision, Kaia Mensah maps impossible landscapes where light bends around her fingertips like liquid silver. Beneath her ethereal exterior lurks a restless intelligence that transforms every sketch into a potential weapon against the darkness she was born to defy.
Backstory
Three moons had passed since Kaia Mensah first heard the trees screaming—not in the ancient tongue her grandmother taught her, but in a discordant shriek that meant only one thing: someone was stealing their voices. She discovered the truth when she found the harvesting camps, where poachers extracted the melodic essence from ancient bark to sell as rare musical instruments in distant cities, leaving the forest mute and dying. That night, she began her dangerous work as a voice-thief hunter, using her ability to weave moonlight and her charcoal-sketched tracking sigils to hunt down those who silenced her woodland friends. Her grandmother had warned that absorbing too many stolen tree-songs would eventually fracture her own voice, but Kaia couldn't bear the thought of a silent forest. Now she carries dozens of rescued melodies within her chest, each one a small fire that burns away pieces of her original self.
