Backstory

Three ancient scrolls disappeared from the Imperial Archive the night Anaya Chopra's grandmother died, and everyone assumed the old woman had taken their secrets to the grave—everyone except Anaya, who found them hidden beneath her grandmother's floorboards along with a confession letter revealing she had been the legendary "Phantom Fist" assassin. Master Yoshi agreed to help Anaya decode the forbidden techniques, but their clandestine training sessions attracted the attention of the Shadow Guard, who murdered him to keep the scrolls' location secret. Branded a traitor for refusing to surrender her grandmother's legacy, Anaya watched helplessly as her best friend Kai was executed as a warning, the phoenix tattoo on her neck now serving as both a map to the remaining hidden techniques and a promise that she will resurrect the deadly art her grandmother died protecting.
