Backstory

The music box ballerina spun endlessly to a broken tune, just as Vespera's grandmother had wound it every night before teaching her which flowers could heal and which could kill with a single petal. When Theo shattered her heart like porcelain, Vespera began collecting more than just botanical knowledge—she hoarded his coffee cups, his forgotten pens, even strands of hair from his jacket, each treasure catalogued in mason jars that lined her windowsill like specimens in a twisted museum. The lullaby her grandmother hummed while grinding nightshade became Vespera's obsession anthem, sung softly as she practiced her craft on neighborhood cats who wandered too close to her garden.
