Backstory

Three copper coins clinked in Amun Okafor's pocket the day he traded his lunch money for a tattered comic book from the strange vendor who appeared only during thunderstorms, unaware that its pages were drawn with ink that moved when nobody was looking. His grandfather's attic became his sanctuary after he discovered the comic was part of a larger collection hidden behind false walls—sketches that seemed to predict tomorrow's weather, next week's accidents, and the exact moment his best friend Lily would need rescuing from her own adventures gone wrong. The mysterious illustrations sparked something electric in his fingers, and soon Amun was unconsciously mimicking their style while doodling in his mother's bakery, his drawings starting to show the same peculiar accuracy as the originals. His father Henry would find these prophetic sketches scattered around their house, shaking his head in bewildered amusement as Amun's "wild imagination" somehow always managed to keep their family one
