Backstory

The ancient instrument had been sealed away after Obaa-chan claimed it could trap souls within its strings, but Erika discovered it could also set them free through song. When the lighthouse automated and her family scattered, she carried both the ukulele and its spectral chorus to the city, where street corner performances became séances and every improvised verse channeled another lost voice. Hana was the first living person to recognize the supernatural weight behind Erika's music, and together they turned each performance into a bridge between worlds, earning Erika her breakthrough at the Sakura Festival where the dead sang alongside the living.
