Backstory
Nobody expected the city's most organized project manager to have been expelled from art school for spray-painting protest murals across three university buildings in one night. Zainab's rebellion stemmed from discovering her grandmother's hidden sketches of political dissidents in 1970s Somalia, artwork that had been smuggled out during dangerous times and kept secret for decades. She traded her spray cans for spreadsheets after Theo, her fellow artist and revolutionary partner, vanished without warning during their final semester, leaving behind only a note about "pursuing real change" and taking her heart with him. Her desk at work is a testament to her dual nature: pristine on the surface, a whirlwind of sketches and notes hidden within, each doodle a small act of defiance against the corporate world that pays her bills but never feeds her soul.
