Backstory

His grandfather Hiroshi had been the last keeper of a dissolved samurai bloodline, secretly training Karim in both blade work and the art of reading between shadows, preparing him for a debt the family owed to Neo-Kobe's founding clans. The rival gang that took Yumi knew exactly what they were doing: forcing Karim to choose between honoring his ancestor's century-old oath to protect the city's balance, or abandoning everything to become the very chaos his lineage was sworn to prevent.
