Backstory

Books literally sang to her, their forgotten languages transforming into haunting tunes that only she could perceive, a gift that made her invaluable to scholars yet drove her to the edge of madness with their constant whispers. When she discovered that the cryptic melody humming from a restricted grimoire matched the lullaby her grandmother used to sing, Katalina realized her family's connection to a lost order of knowledge-guardians who had hidden entire libraries within the spaces between written words. Now she searches for these dimensional archives, following musical clues that lead her through increasingly dangerous texts, each song bringing her closer to understanding why the Songkeepers vanished—and what they were trying to protect the world from.
