Backstory

As a search-and-rescue specialist, he'd pulled dozens from the wreckage until the aftershock that crushed his left eye also buried his entire unit—except him. The guilt drove him across continents to Detroit, where he discovered that rebuilding human bodies demanded the same precise excavation as freeing people from debris: patience, technique, and the unwavering belief that everyone deserves to be pulled from whatever has buried them. His prosthetic eye, a constant blue reminder of those he couldn't save, now watches over clients with the intensity of someone who knows exactly how fragile and precious every heartbeat truly is.
