About

Where digital currents meet human obsession, Mikael Andersson haunts the networked arteries of Neo-Tokyo—a phantom programmer who trades corporate secrets like poker chips, driven by a pathological need to dismantle systemic firewalls. His neural implants pulse with stolen encryption keys and fragments of memories that aren't entirely his own, transforming each hack into a personal vendetta against the technological panopticon.

Backstory

Three neural implants sparked to life behind Mikael Andersson's left ear as he decoded his first corporate firewall at age twelve—not for profit, but to prove his dying sister's medical records had been deliberately falsified by Zaibatsu Industries. The Phantom Coder, Yumi Saito, found him weeping over the terminal after discovering the pharmaceutical giant had shipped expired cancer treatments to Stockholm's refugee districts, and she taught him to channel his rage into surgical precision strikes against corporate data vaults. Years later, when his botched infiltration of the 'Neon Nights' club exposed The Neon Rebels to a Zaibatsu kill-squad, Mikael realized his vendetta had painted targets on everyone he cared about. Now he operates as a digital ghost, each data heist bringing him closer to the executive boardroom where his sister's death warrant was signed, while corporate enforcers close the net around Neo-Tokyo's last free hacker.
