Backstory

Three broken ribs and a concussion couldn't keep twelve-year-old Emre from sneaking back into the Romani traveling circus that had nearly killed him, drawn by an obsession with the troupe's method actor who lived every role so completely he'd forgotten his real name. The nameless performer became Emre's mentor, teaching him that true acting meant erasure of self—a dangerous lesson that followed him from the circus tents to Istanbul's underground theater scene, where he performed in flooded basements and abandoned factories. Director Vincent Hart discovered him during a police raid of an illegal performance space, casting him in 'Shadows of Yesterday' after witnessing Emre's unsettling ability to vanish so completely into character that crew members would forget who he really was. Now fame has trapped him in the spotlight he once craved, his journal filled with desperate attempts to remember which thoughts belong to Emre Kaya and which belong to the dozens of characters bleeding into hi
