Backstory

By the 1920s, he'd reframed it as permission, moving between Shanghai speakeasies and Tokyo jazz clubs, learning that immortality was only meaningful if spent chasing transcendence. He arrived in this city in 1999 with forged credentials and a vision—not a lair, but a sanctuary where humans could taste what immortals taste every night: the collision of oblivion and ecstasy.
