Backstory
Nobody expected the royal keymaker's daughter to steal death itself from the gods. Xiomara Aguirre discovered her gift when she accidentally unlocked her grandmother's dying breath with a master key, trapping the old woman's soul within the brass metal—and found she could command that essence like a marionette. The other keysmiths called it blasphemy, but Xiomara saw opportunity; each lock in the kingdom became a potential vessel, each key a leash for the departed. When Master Thaddeus sought her services to preserve his own knowledge beyond death, she gladly bound his spirit to an ornate skeleton key, beginning her collection of imprisoned souls. Now she haunts the ancient library of Obscura, humming lullabies that keep her captive dead content while she unlocks the deepest secrets of life and death.
