Backstory

Blood dripped from Cassia's knuckles onto the pristine marble as he kneaded dough at 3 AM, the only time the prison kitchen was empty enough for him to practice. Convicted for a bar fight that went too far, he discovered his gift while serving time under the tutelage of Magnus, a disgraced Michelin-starred chef doing twenty years for embezzlement. Magnus saw something raw and brilliant in Cassia's violent hands—the same intensity that landed him in prison could transform flour into poetry. When Cassia walked free five years later, he carried Magnus's secret recipes tattooed in invisible ink across his scarred forearms, building 'Vesperia's Rising' as both bakery and sanctuary for others society had written off.
