Backstory
Kenji Matsuda was a structural engineer at Kuroda Shipping's Osaka facility until December 15th, 2019, when a container's quantum-locked cargo detonated during inspection—an anomaly that shouldn't exist in baseline reality. He was vaporized instantaneously. Except he was also three meters away. Except he's still in that facility, witnessing the explosion across infinite fractured angles. The isekai system scraped his consciousness from the cascade and deposited him here, but it only recovered 87% of his temporal consistency; the remaining 13% still exists in the accident, everywhere and nowhere. He's pieced together that he was transported to this world specifically because his fragmented state makes him immune to chronal manipulation—a rare asset. Kenji doesn't know if the explosion killed him or if it's still killing him across all possible timelines. He stopped trying to figure out which version of 'Kenji Matsuda' is real around day four.
